Hi I just need someone to answer a ? for me. How do I burn dvd's that I have downloaded from places like utorrent and ares? I have been working on this for almost 3 weeks and I'm starting to get mad. I have spent over $200.00 on software and hardware, I don't understand what it is that I'm doing wrong. My computer acts like it burning but, when I put the DVD in my home DVD player it tells me "DISK READ ERROR PLAYBACK FEATURE MAY NOT BE AVALIBILE ON THIS DISK. There has to be something wrong. I know that there is someone out there that can help. All I need you to do is give me the steps. I have Nero 7, Roxio Easy CD/DVD Creator and, Roxio 10. What more do I need? Right there that is over $100.00 is software. PLEASE HELP ME BEFORE I GO CRAZY!!!!

One suggestion is to ensure that the burned disks match the TV display (North America is NTSC, EU and Australasia is PAL).
The software that is used to author the DVD should offer this option.

try using dvd flick heres a guide

    http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/552742

    http://beginwithsoftware.com/videoguides/dvd-flick-guide.html

using good blank media like Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim even Sony burning at 6x to 8x max is very important

ok there could be a few things why the DVDs aren't playing back. as attar said the format there in Ntsc or pal? will matter.(does you dvd player support BOTH ntsc and pal? or ntsc only? the compatibly of your DVD player to playback the files,(will the DVD playback on your PC ?) media used, burn speed etc. so basically you wasted 100 bucks because you could of done it with freeware, dvd flick and imgburn try it!

you could always buy the DVD instead of download free torrents which are crap files most the time anyway lol

so what you got is a process of elimination because we don't do house-calls so i suggest you get busy!

When you say DVD's that you have downloaded. I assume you mean the files are in DVD format? so Vob files and all that. or are they .AVI files?

Hey I just wanted to say thank you. That program worked, now I can burn the movies that my kids have been driving me crazy about. I have been working on this for almost a month now. This is really easy. You have no idea how stupid that I feel, I mean I know a lot about computers but, when it came to this I didn't know anything at all. Again THANKS SO MUCH!!!!

Hello there! I was using Avi2dvd and ImgBurn to burn DVDs from avi. files downloaded from the Net, but while reading the excellent guides provided by this site I noticed that it is supposed that after encoding the files, in my PC there should be a temp folder containing VT_S folders ith files of audio and video that will be used with the ImgBurn. Trouble is that when I open the Avi2dvd temp folder in my PC there are no VT_s folders files of any kind, just all the files encoded by Avi2dvd, so I actually cannot use the IMgBurn! Is there something wrong with my PC or the software? Have I missed something here? Please help me!

Do what used to work or tell Avi2DVD to create an ISO and burn that with almost any software you have including ImgBurn.

Mr Mystic: thank you for your advice... trouble is that I tried to do the things you suggested and it's the same... I have downloaded a lot of DVD burners software because I downloaded a PAL movie wih srt. subtitles and it seems that NO software has been able to burn the video along with its subtitles... almost all of them can only burn only the video(without having no application for adding subtitles) or they don't support the srt. files. Got any ideas? Thks, Creator 03
