help-burning mp3 and outlook

    i hava an audio book saved on my pc, it is a mp3 file and 278238 kb,i tried to send it to a friend thru outlook express and they said the received a 4 kb file,how can i send the whole file, if i send in a compressed folder will it still play for my friend on his computer, i tried to burn with nero ultra and it is 853 min, if i burn it do i have to put it on 5 cds, or a dvd disc, how do i do this, i would like to burn so it can play in a cd player,thanks for any help as im a newbie and frustrated, detailed info would be nice

    thanks for the tip, i tried that and it still wont send, does outlook have a limit on the file size it can send maybe, does anyone have any more suggestions,thanks

    your problem is not outlook, its that your ISP will not allow a ~275 meg attachment in an email! Most put the limit at 25 or 30 megs. So you need this program called Peer2Mail. It breaks up the file into 10 meg chunks then uploads them to the email account.

    i did not try that do i burn to cd or dvd, will it play in cd player then ,thanks

    if the file is only ~275 megs, why would you want to zip it? Sure, you can burn it to a data-cd, but it will only play on your computer and on cd players that play mp3 CDs. In other words, it will not play one standard audio CD players. you can burn it so you can play it on standard audio CD players, but you will have to chop of the audio file into ~80 minute sections and then burn them as audio CDs. nero ultra has a wave editor built in (though I've never used it so can't really help ya there).
