    I have a problem with burning Nolf2, i have both files, they came as iso off *****, not as bins. I tried to burn them, but neither of them came out, so i used isobuster, but another problem poped up, i can't seem to get the file to install correctly, whenever i try to install, it always stops at sound.rez in the set up box and tells me there's aCRC error. But there seems to be another problem in the folder where i extracted it seems to be the files wrapped up in a second bin file. Any one burned this game and knows what the problem might be?

    i think there are wave or sound files of some kind that i cannot extract, because when i select all the files IN the folder i extracted the game in, they mount to around 300mb, but I select the folder itself, it comes out to around 617mb.

    There is also a file called LAYOUT.bin in where nolf2cd1 was extracted.

    I have also checked out thomasm_'s thread

    http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/16093

    and have divided the number 746,374,272 by 2352, comes out to a perfect integer of 317,336 meaning i could use mode 2352, but i tried already and that didn't help.

    I have also checked and other people have burned the same file off **** as me, somehow using isobuster, so i guess its not fully copyprotected.

    Do a scan of the image with CDMage (Action menu). Maybe it's corrupted. Sometimes it happens.. you might want to repair it with CDMage or (better) get another one.

    And sorry, but I had to slightly modify your message because posting ways to get software illegally is against forum rules.

    Ye i downloaded both files over, for the first file, it would get throught installation fine (using daemon tools), but for the second file (CD2) it would reach 98 percent and give me an error called Cyclic Redundancy Check (CRC). Could it be possibly the protection on the files (securom), is there any other way apart from Daemon Tools (which do not work) to get around the problem?

    Alcohol can emulate the protection on mounted images, too.
    Are you sure that some file on the iso are not damaged? (again, using CDMage...)

    CDMage found errors in the second file 90 of them, i'll try to repair if there's an option.

    Crap, i tried, it says there were 0 sectors out of 90 repaired, is there something wrong I am doing?

    This means that the errors were critical , and the program couldn't fix them :(

    Sorry, my friend... I only suggest you to use the 'Locate' function (right-click) on the errors so you can try to grab only the corrupted file instead of downloading again the full image...

    PLEASE! I have been trying to get these images working for 2 days. The orginal images are RAW dumps (*.BIN). I can't seem to get the images to run in images drives. The .rez files are giving me CRC errors (MUCH too much of a cooincidence that they are the only ones to do this - on EACH image!
    I have come to the conclusion that I need to somehow rewrite the CRC for the .rez files. THEY are the only files that are "damaged" in the .cab files on either image. This tells me that they are bound by some security feature. The game uses SecuRom 1.4(8?). I know that if the sizes matched I could have a working copy. I managed to open the .cab files (which, are unopenable normally) using i6comp (so I can access the .rez files) all I need to do is either somehow rewrite the file's CRC - isn't the CRC problem caused by the installer looking at the file in question?

    Here's what I tried:

    * Using insektor
    * BWA building method
    * Alcohol 120%, CCD.. many others.
