Can someone recommend the best Power Supply and Ram for this set up. I am not in the least concerned about cost, but performance and quality. Not too sure what the best Ram is or do I know the quantity as I have not decided yet whether to go for a 32bit or 64bit Operating System. Any help on the matter is muchly appreciated. In relation to the power supply which I know nothing about, I am not to sure how many watts I will need. An hour and a half - how impatient are you? Real people post on this site, not robots, and rude posts like that won't answer your questions any quicker. You have chosen a terrible graphics card, ones half the price of that beat it in most games now, it's just an old card that hasn't been price-dropped. Get this: http://www.ebuyer.com/product/148274 I'd recommend this power supply: http://www.ebuyer.com/product/114941
Sorry, but I had to buy them that day and needed an answer fast. Im sorry if I came across rude. I only trust nVidia for graphics cards, and I disagree with your comments. This card is one of the most powerfull on the market under the nVidia brand. It is like two graphic cards sandwiched together. The powersupply looks nice, thank you for the recommendation. Is there a particular min or max watt I need to look out for? Also I need 4 x 2GB of DDR2 Ram please? Thanks in advance.
No you didn't, none of those websites will deliver next day after 7pm. Also, I don't give fake advice, ask anyone around here. The 9800GX2 may be two cards in one, but it's two old cards, one GTX260 216 will beat it. One HD4870X2 will obliterate it, for practically the same price.
lol, go away you silly little boy. I gave the url as a visual aid, at no point did I say these were the websites I have used or will use to make the purchase.
Then get your own help. It doesn't seem like much to expect someone asking for help to do so politely.
sammorris I am not even going to rise to that comment lol spamual, I guess my budget is pretty much endless, I dont think I will be overclocking the processor as I am relatively happy with the stock speeds. What I will need is a power supply which I am not to sure the max watts or I guess min watts, again I am not concerned with price but quality. In relation to the RAM this is very important, I am pretty much sure that I will be going down the 64bit route, and therefore would like 8GB of DDR2 to take advantage. As a precaution I would like them to be 4 x 2GB, as that would justify me removing 2 of the 2GB and put them somewhere else and run 32bit. I would like to know the best RAM, again money is not an issue but quality and power. This set up will be used for extreme heavy gaming and a few software packages like cubase and CS4. Thanks in advance.
