    Hi deanweis,
Here is the way i ripped it. DVDDecrypter to extract the files to HD in file mode. AnyDVD was running in background (red fox in toolbar). Opened files extracted by Decrypter by using DVD Shrink file button. Burned with nero when shrink called it up for the burning.

Have you used any of the guides?
    http://home.comcast.net/~bbmayo/backup with Decrypter&Shrink.pdf
    http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/dvd9_to_dvdr_with_dvd_shrink.cfm
    http://home.comcast.net/~bbmayo/index.html
    http://www.dvdplusvideo.com/petesguide2.html
Check out some of those guides, and post back specific error message, and program being used when error occured. You may be encountering a bad press of the movie. I had that happen to me on Maxtrix Revolutions. Nothing i tried would rip it. Took it back for an exchange and the thing ripped perfectly. Original disc had no scratches on it at all.

    Exactly what maxburn said.

Use the guides, you certainly have the programs needed.

Open anyDVD and run in background. Put in movie. Rip w/Shrink and burn w/decrypter.

all right thanks for replying but im still having problems. So im gonna tell you exactly what i am doin so you can see if im doin anything wrong.
    ok....
i started up dvddecrypter. With any dvd running in the background.
    loaded up the matrix dvd.
    all the files(vob,ifo,etc) are highlighted.
i clicked on the mode tab and made sure file was checked.
i clicked on the tools tab
    i clicked on settings.
when the settings window came up i clicked on default.
    clicked ok
    then i clicked to decrypt.

at about 99% completion an error occurs-

    i/o Error
    device [1:1:0] tsstcorp cd/dvdw sh-w162c ts07 (E:)(ata)
    scsistatus: 0x02
    interpretation: check condition
    cdb: 28 00 002d 92 cd 00 00 00 01 00
    interpretation : read (10) sector 4035277
    sense area : 70 00 03 00 00 00 00 0a 00 00 00 00 11 05 00 00 00 00
    interpretation : L-ec uncorrectable error.

    i clicked ignore.

    i then opened dvdshrink.
i clicked on open files and found the file clicked on it.
    it started to analyze it.
at 99% an error came up

dvdshrink encounted an error and cannot continue
    failed to open file "c:\documentsandsettings\mydocuments\VIDEO_TS\vts_03_2.vob"
the system cannot find the file specified.

so yeah thats what i did.

    Hi there,

    A little off topic but:
Your firmware is TS07, the latest is TS10 !

    http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_firmware.php?download_id=2078

Will help when you are burning !

Do you have AnyDVD v5.5.1.1 ? It's currently the latest !

ive just tried again decrypting it with shrink dvd and with anydvd in the back ground.

i opened the disk and it started to analyze. But at 99% an error popped up....

dvdshrink has encounted an error and cannot continue
    failed to read file "E:\"
    data error (redundancy check)

so do you reckon the dvd is faulty or am i just crap????

i tried again using dvdshrink. But this time i opened up open files and went to E:\ matrix\VIDEO_TS (thats my dvdwriter drive)
it started to analyze...but once again at 99% an error occured. But this time it read...
the request could not be performed because of an i/o device error.

    Hi there,
Usually means a dirty or scratched media.

Is some cases, just a bad pressed disk, a bad original.
