Whats the best program out there to time and sync subtitles, i tried vobsub and i've only been able to sync the first minute. it starts out fine, but the farther the movie plays the more it goes out of sync. I'm guessing its cause i have a divx movie probably ripped from a ntsc dvd and the subtitles im using are most likly PAL. but is there anyway to fix this problem? Thanks in advance.
There is an app called Subtitle Workshop which I use a lot, which allows you to convert a subtitle file between different frame rates. You can load the movie as well, and play it at selected points by clicking on the subtitle line in question, to see if the timing is OK.
Everything is going great with Subtitle workshop except i dont know how to save. i load the movie and the subtitles and when i watch it, everything is in sync. i hit save. I place the avi and the subtitles in a folder and name them the same. when i go to play it on WindowsMplayer, its all out of sync again. I wanna burn the avi and the sub to a dvd without going through all the trouble of converting divx to dvd. my dvdplayer CAN handle DIVX.
Maybe the problem is with Windows Media Player. Is Direct VOB Sub, the same as VoB Sub? http://www.divxmovies.com/subtitles/
i've never had a problem playing subs in Windows Mplayer, it was not in sync this time, but after loading them into Subtitle creator they were fine. but still cant sync in WMplayer. am i doing something wrong? i tried burning the divx file and subs with AVI2DVD, but my computer keeps freezing since the process takes more than 2 hours. so i just wanna burn it to a data disk.
