Help Connecting my Xbox 360 Premium Pro w/HDMI to my LCD Monitor??? 1. Alright well I want to know if anyone could help me decide whether or not to run my xbox 360 through DVI or VGA?? How do I connect it?? Which is better?? 2. How do I get sound when I connect the cord for video since my monitor does not have built in speakers?? You need to split the HDMI into a DVI and composite audio cable. There are adapters to do that but I don't know where to get them, and I doubt they're cheap.

Sound is more complicated. You can easily hook up the cable to a receiver. Or if you want to hook up a computer speakers to the Xbox you will need a 2 RCA female to 3.5mm female cable. If they don't have that the you can get a 2 RCA female to 3.5 Male cable and buy an male to female 3.5mm adapter (a.k.a. a coupler). or you can get a 2 RCA male to 3.5mm female with two RCA male to female adapters. Thats it.
