Help Connecting my Xbox 360 Premium Pro w/HDMI to my LCD Monitor???

    1. Alright well I want to know if anyone could help me decide whether or not to run my xbox 360 through DVI or VGA?? How do I connect it??
    Which is better??

    2. How do I get sound when I connect the cord for video since my monitor does not have built in speakers??

    I have the following:

New Xbox 360 Premium Pro with the HDMI Port

    and

    Acer P-Series 19” LCD Monitor=http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Acer-P-Series-19-LCD-Monitor/sem/rpsm/oid/193175/rpem/ccd/productDetail.do#tabs
The Monitor has VGA & DVI Ports.

You need to split the HDMI into a DVI and composite audio cable. There are adapters to do that but I don't know where to get them, and I doubt they're cheap.

    What you need is:
    http://hardware.teamxbox.com/screenshots/screen-hires/42546/Xbox-360-VGA-HD-AV-Cable/

With this you can hook it up to your monitor. It's called the Xbox 360 VGA HD AV Cable. Sound is more complicated. You can easily hook up the cable to a receiver. Or if you want to hook up a computer speakers to the Xbox you will need a 2 RCA female to 3.5mm female cable. If they don't have that the you can get a 2 RCA female to 3.5 Male cable and buy an male to female 3.5mm adapter (a.k.a. a coupler). or you can get a 2 RCA male to 3.5mm female with two RCA male to female adapters.

    Thats it.
