Hey, Im really not an expert and ive been looking for a way to convert some small avi movies to HD. Ive been searching for a few days and my computer is now full of junk software and codecs i have no use for. All I want is to convert some home made videos to HD the best quality i can get even 1080p if possible and then add sub's if i can. Can somebody help me do it or maybe direct me to a helpfull guide? Thanx!!!
Are your avi files HD? I'm no expert either, but I'm pretty sure you won't notice any quality improvement by converting non-HD avi files to some proposed HD format. Your output quality is basically limited to the quality of your source. You can however go in and edit the video to improve colors, sharpness, contrast, etc. However, if you're working with non-HD files, then I don't think there's a way to make them HD quality. I could be wrong and open to other opinions. Hope this helps.
