I have copied approximately 15 dvds with no problem. I am using DVD Shrink 3.2 & DVD Decrypter. However, I have had problems with 5-6. I get an error message of "Data Error (Cyclic redundancy check)". What I want to know is: 1) How can I, in newbie terms, copy ALL dvds with what I have. 2) If #1 is not possible, what program/s can I purchase that will work easy & every time. I have read lots of post on this forum & a number of them come close to answering my question, but none specifically. Thanks for the help...
Neither Shrink or DVD Decrypter have or will be updated ever again. U can either purchase Slysoft's AnyDVD and run that in the background to suppress the copy protection and then use Shrink or DDecrypter or grab a copy of DVDFab Decrypter for free and see if that works for you.
Cyclic redundancy check in plain english means that DVD Shrink cannot read the disc. Maybe the disc is dirty, or scratched. In my experiance a CRC error has always been this. "Invalid DVD Navigation Structure" or "Our of Memory" error is to do with encryption issue. What 5-6 Titles were you trying to do? We can tell you for sure if it's encryption or not.
It is true CRC error can be cause by dirty disks, but also from encryption. From Digital Digest http://forum.digital-digest.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=48842
