help corrupt picture

    I downloaded a movie from torrentspy but when I played it on my DVDplayer the sound was ok but the picture was there but it was sort of scrambled this is the second time this has happened in a row what can the problem be i am new at this ineed help with this one

    Is this a PAL movie you are playing on an NTSC player?

    Seems to me that could be the problem. If so you will need to convert the video to NTSC.

    Also what did you use to burn it too a disc?

    there could be a number of thing that could be the problem. before you downloaded the torrent did you look at the comments on the file? also was it a bin or cue file and the type of media or how fast you burnt the movie could be the problem, also what was the movie? did you view the movie before you put it to a disk? in the future you should make sure that the file is good before you burn it to disk, also next time you might just say that you have a movie that is kinda messed up with the video and not that you got it off a torrent site it is kinda frowned on here as far as backing up movies that we own not ones that we got from some torrent site what might be a illegal copy of a movie if you know what i meen, just a heads up ok. but if you payed for the movie i would say get your money back, good luck
