Hi Looking (once again) for help from the experts. Thanks in advance!! Trying to help a friend, (as I have a EV & N*L!!) He has Silver Digivox with Ch**us MMDS in North Co Dublin Version 03-2.8000BK He says it was working and stopped a couple of months back. I presumed a code change. Ive checked codes - theyre right..presuming the Ch**us codes are the same whether its cable or digital?. EMU is on, he's scanned no joy. Done factory reset, auto scan, emu on, checked codes again. No channels found. Now Im reading stuff about Digivox not working with MMDS and other things about needing extra bits to adjus the MMDS signal, and Im getting very confused. Can I do anything to get it to pick up channels or am I fighting a losing battle here!!! Does anyone live in North Co Dublin with Ch**us MMDS and actually have channels on a digivox. He's sure he had 30 or so channels before - and hes happy enough with that many!! Help. Thanks Dee
2 things he cannot be on c****s mmds with that firmware as he would need digivox t. now if he has n*l mmds he had correct firmware update to v4300,are u scanning correct provider and coaxial into cable input.even with old firmware u should still be able to pick up channels with scan but update wont work.and there are 2 providers of data.
Ok Cactikid thanks for that. So just let me make sure i have this right. the digivox - t has a black bit on the front doesnt it? Just so Im sure Im working off the right info. Havent got the box in fromt of me now, but from mem it was all silver. Will check that before I go any further. Also will confirm that its deffo CH***S MMDs, he seemed sure, but... One other thing - what do you mean there are two providers of data? No doubt Ill be back again!! Thanks again
look at front of box does it say just digivox or digivox t? both boxes look the same but one is a dvb/t other is dvb/c so different firmwares used. 2 providers of data c****s and n*l.
So if it is Ch***s MMDS & DVB/c it wont work full stop. But if its N*L MMDS it should if I update to V4300. Thanks Cactikid. Will double check all before I come back again! Appreciate your time and help - as always ur on the ball;-)
c****s mmds use dvb/t as in digivox t c****s cable use dvb/c ordinary digivox n*l mmds and cable use dvb/c box. yes i would reflash to v4300 for ordinary digivox .
