First I apologize as I noticed days later I posted this thread in the wrong area .

the problem is these flix are green & blocky (usually ffdshow would fix that). This is the main problem .
Sometimes in Tmpgenc audio wont load , but when I save
as wave & use tmpgenc to convert it crashes 1 second in
I did manage to convert 1 flick , but video was still as described & there was no audio , thats when I saved it as wave in virtual dub them Tmpgenc crashed .

I dont see the ability to add an attatchment here so I can post a screenshot of the properties so I`ll type a few here ,
    xvid mpeg-4 codec , compression:unknown( tag 2000 )
    Data rate:384 kbps (0.96% overhead)
    Layout: 47 chunks 90.5s perload)
I have ffdshow & correct codec install as told by Gspot & ac3 for audio Hope this helps you help me . I`m baffled & frustrated

In days between the posts I did manage to convert 1 flick in Tmpgenc , but the video was still the mess on my pc , but it played fine on my home DvD player .

    Please advise :)-

Okay, lets start off from the beginning. What version of those codecs do you have installed? Next, what kind of pc do you have? Assuming you have the latest versions and its a good flick, then perhaps your pc is not up to par?

    Hi
Guess what I just uninstalled Nimo codec pack & the flick now plays on my PC . I`m about to try & convert it now , & I`ll keep you posted as to the outcome .

Sometime ago I needed Nimo to run something , I cant remember what though . It seems so far it`s a Nimo problem , is this a problem ridden prog/codec ? I always heard it was one of the better ones , maybe my versio was old , should I kook for a newer version ? & if so where ?

    thanks again :)-

    Hi

Well the movie only plays with audio on my pc , it wont convert with sound in Tmpgenc , even if I save audio as wave & encode that way . If I dont do that conversion process crashes

I have DivXPro511GAINBundle installed , as well as
xvid installed(I cant figure which version , I may need to get latest , but cant find proper links) , I also have 3ivx D4 4.5.1 installed & ffdshow-20040113 .

I have an Athlon 2600+ cpu , ATI 9800 pro , & over 1 Gb of DDR memory.

I hope I can get some help with this :)-

XVID is a video codec -- not audio :)
