I have had a Sony Wega set up for about 6 months now, recently all discs that previously played back DTS sound no longer play DTS playback - I have tried factory reset to make sure I havent accidentally messed with something but no luck - will it be my player or decoder that has a problem? (I'm thinking of changing decoder but wanted to check with you guys first)

hmmmmm? when you play back dts movies, is the dvd player and receiver both set at dts mode? are you connecting the dvd player to your receiver via coax or optical toslink cable? which ever one you are not using, try using one instead of what you are. i.e. - if you're using coax then try using optical. if you are using optical, try using coax. that is very strange. i've never had that happened to me. what the name and model # for both dvd player and receiver that you are using? and let me know which cable you're using to connect the two.
