Hi, i hate to sound dumb but i have recently got DVD x copy gold. It seems to have 2 shorcuts - one being to x copy xpress and the other to DVD x copy (im assuming thats gold). Are the two separate programmes? My first problem is that I started X copy Xpress and followed the instructions. After around 5 minutes of the software hanging it said that the data was ready to be burnt and then burnt to the disk for around 20 seconds before saying it was complete. The DISC was a DVD+R packard Bell and my writer is a sony DRU 400? Are there any updates for this software? Also is gold for simply splitting a larger disc? I havent yet used it. Im guessing you cannot shrink a larger disc onto a 4gb disc with x copy gold?? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Pureplaya
Hi Pureplaya, welcome to aD - I believe "Gold" is to split a backup into two discs. The express will compress the DVD on to a single disc. Question time, are you ready ? Good, First, is your XCopy a ripper version or a RF version requiring a ripper and if so, do you have one ? Yea I know, that was a bunch of questions but when I'm on a roll, I find it hard to stop (Lol) Let me know, OK ? Ooooppps, I forgot, can you get some better discs. Your discs are soooooo crappy (Hey ScubaPete, How crappy are they ?) They're so crappy they don't even show up on a media Mfgrs. web site. You need better stuff to burn DVD Videos. Search around here and you'll find a ton of information about the right media - Cheers, (I'm really and truly leaving this time Pete
sorry to interrupt ... but all XCopy questions are to be posted in the XCopy forum: http://dvdxcopy.afterdawn.com
