Ive tried to hotswap but nothin, no games work, no dvds, no audio cds is there another solution to fix my HDD, but heres how i broke it... I RENAMED MY DASHBOARD LIKE AN IDIOT! well can anyone help my solve my major predicament?, i have evo x if thts any use... cheers for any solutions submitted
You're not doing the hot swap right then... If you can't figure out how to hot swap properly, install a chip and use Slayer's or AID to install some dashboards...

my mate baker did the hotswap for me he has a comp 4 doin hotswaps becus he mods and ey1 locks ther drive so ye the hotswap worked ok, is ther an altenative to chips?
if you can't get the hotswap to work, you will need modchip. There is no other way. However you can save money if you can borrow a modchip from your friend. After finish fixing your xbox, you will return the modchip back to your friend.
