Help!! "Error Loading Operating System"

    hey. i turned on my PC the other day and after booting and saying verifying DMI Pool Data.. it says'Error Loading Operating System' i'm realy confused. should i format my drive?

    formating the drive will loose your info. what windows version are you using?

    i no that ive done it before. windows XP HOME edition

    thanks for that. the setup starts working fine but then it says 'cannot read CD. Insert one of the following CDs to verify that you are allowed to use this CD: Windows XP HOME (full version)
    Windows XP Proffesional (full version)

    I put in the Home CD but it says the same again.

    ok tnks alot. i wuz gunna get a new PC soon anyway so im just gunna get that. thanks anyway
