Hi All, Sorry for the "dumb questions and comments" to follow. A couple of days ago during the process of "backing-up" a DVD Movie with 1ClickDVDCopy I had a problem with the CopytoDVD program "hanging" and being unable to complete the job. I could not open the drive tray and eventually shut down my system in order to open the tray. I had to reboot twice to get the tray open and since then the drive will not recognize any DVD. The Region Code RPC1 setting has also reverted to RPC11. The error message I get when trying to upgrade the firmware to 160I is that the task cannot be completed and to check the Bin File???? Apart from the Dangerous Brothers / RPC1 version of (160E and 160I) I have found it extremely difficult to get any origonal firmware from Optorite or Accesstek. Help
Hi, Some extra input: when I try a Nro CD-DVD Speed Test I get the error message: Logical unit is in process of becoming ready 020401. Also a Nero Info test shows the Optorite DD0405 160E Drive as RPC1 while the Windows Device Manager shows the same drive as Set for Region 4 with 4 changes left. Over to the experts. Thanks
