I hope this is where this is to be posted...
I have a 160gb ACOM DATA external hard drive and one day I noticed it was filling up so I deleted some unneeded stuff and ran DISC CLEAN UP but in the middle of it cleaning a window poped up "THIS HARD DRIVE IS NOT FORMATTED> DO YOU WANT TO FORMATT NOW" I clicked no. and since then I can not get in. The I checked the property and the file format went from NTFS to RAW. I contacted ACOM and they sent me to a company that wants to charge me between $800.00 & $2,500.00 pluss a 100.00 fee to do a recovery. Can ANYONE help me out. Im no dumby to computors but Im no expert either.

What exactly do you need? Do you just want the hard drive to be usable again, or do you want to recover the data that is on the hard drive?

I would like at the very least to recover all of my photos, and yes I would like to still use the hard drive. I belive if I format it now it is still useable but I dont want to format it yet in fear of erasing my pictures. Is this posible?
    thanks
