I've transfered several shows from my DVR onto my computer.
I would like to put 4 shows on a DVD.
They are all mpeg 2 s, run 60 minutes, and are .98 Gigs each...

I can't seem to get them to fit onto a single DVD.
I've tried several trial version DVD creator type programs.

It seems that they can't compress them enough.
    1) I don't understand why if the all of the files are less than 4 gigs, I can't do it.
    2) Depending on the software, it says I need 5ish to 10ish gigs of space for the disk.
    3) I've even tried creating the dvd with 5-6 gigs, and then trying dvd shrink, it can't compress it enough either.

    a) What's up? Please help? 4gigs of mpeg2 fit nicely onto a dvd?
    b) What software would you recommend?
    c) Please help
