hey guys, i have searched up and down this forum reading a lot about this problem and tried the ide cable fix, tried the dvdrb and source/working/destination files being all on the same drive, but it seems after encoding with CCE 2.5, when it goes to rebuild, it just won't work, it gets to the 5th file in the rebuild stage and it gives me the buffer overrun error, I've tried it three times, all three times with freeware DVDRB and now i'm trying it with DVDRB pro, any suggestions?

assuming you are using version 1.07.1 use the special error processing option under settings see if this can get you passed it!

warning this may make your stand-alone an unhappy camper!
so alway's remember to only use it as last resort and set it back after rebuild!

what movie is this and are you doing any pre-processing?? ie.. remake menublanker or similar??

are you using any special setting's??

i really am not using any special settings other than the ones that were told to use in the doom9 guide for freeware.

i'm using 1.06 for the DVD RB pro.

as for the pre processing, there is nothing, i have just backed up the disc in dvdshrink w/ no compression, and left everything as is. the dvd is The Shield, Season 3, Disc 1.

I will try the special error processing option after I am done this run through w/ DVD RB Pro.

thanks for the info, any additional info based on what i've told you would be appreciated.

I was able to solve my #0003 problem of REBUILD PHASE. For the particular problem I encountered, I would think jdobb could easily add early detection of this problem in PREPARE PHASE (detect multiple SCR=.000 with same VOBID).

    - My problem was indeed due to a bad source. I saw that DVD-RB was getting confused in PREPARE PHASE...occurence of more than one SCR=.000 within VOBID=1.

    - Just as a brief background to how this may have happened.
    - Merged VTS's from 2 DVD's into 1 using VobEdit.
    - The IFO's of the 1st DVD was produced by IfoEdit

    - Running FixVTS to renumber the VOB/Cell IDs in the combined VTS did not help.

    - Running thru DVDShrink with no compression did not correct issue.

    - Importing & then exporting using DVDRemake solved the issue.
    - it renumbered the VOB/Cell IDs that works well with PREPARE PHASE in DVD-RB.
