    Hello all,

Here’s my problem I have 2 sata hard drives that don’t show on my computer? I have 2 options to connecting I can connect them to the motherboard or to my promise sata controller? The weird part about this is it only recognizes 1 of three sata WD hard drives?
    How is that so?
Please help as this is driving me crazy?
    Here are my specs…
    E-machine T2642
    Intel celeron 2.60
    512 ram
    MSI PM8M-V (upgraded mobo)
    Plextor 716-A
    WD sata 500 Gb
    WD sata 400 Gb
    WD sata 320 Gb
    WD ide 45 Gb
    WD ide 40 Gb
    WD ide 30 Gb
I'm not running any raid configuration with these drives JBOD
Thanks in advance for your help.

My guess is the jumper settings on the hard drive. If you don't set them you can have problems with the drive being picked up or the drive will read at the wrong capacity.

    Oops!!

nownthen, sata drives don't use jumpers as only ide & scsi drives do.

crusher, which wd sata drive is seen? have you tried the seen drive's sata cable & port on the other drives?
