Can anyone help me i tried running a virus scan but nothing happend. i was putting in windows media player and it switched off since then my computer comes on with the wallpaper in the back ground but thats all no winows no on off nothing except this message. Error This application has failed to start because normaliz dll was not found reinstaling the application may fix this problem. What does this mean can any one help me out there Mick
Hi mick087, Normaliz.dll has something to do with Windows Media Player 11 and/or Windows Internet Explorer 7. Normaliz.dll will NOT be on your XP CD as XP comes with WMP 9 and Internet Explorer 6. And no, not even a compressed version of Normaliz.dll is on the XP CD. I have my XP Pro CD slipstreamed with SP3, IE7 and WMP11. Sometimes, I’m not 2old 2stay ahead of the game… ; ) That said, you can download and install Normaliz.dll -> HERE Give that a try and see if it works… 2OG
