    So heres the story:
Tried for days to install Ubuntu. Never worked. Tried installing, uninstalling, reinstalling..

    But heres my issue:
I used Norton Partition Magic to partition my drive for linux.
I followed the prompts, it asked me to reboot, then asked me to choose yes (What did I answer yes to? cant remember thats the problem)

Once it was completed, I received Error Operating System Not Found. Ouch.

Darn, I knew that would happen. I made sure to backup all my media.
BUT, I didnt think to backup my pictures. Live and learn.

I had a brand new 250GB drive (internal)
and installed my copy of windows xp pro sp2 on it.

I set the error drive into slave and checked it out when
    I booted into windows.

It is now labeled I:Linux and is 30GB (out of the 250) it should be.

When i was trying to install Ubuntu I partitioned my drive (error drive now).
I set aside 30GB so that I had enough space on it to install and play around with Linux.
Now I guess thats all it sees.

What I'm looking for is the rest of it. It was labeled C:Hard Disk.
    Any helpful tips?

Thanks again for taking the time to read this.

you might want to try "testdisk" it's a free data recovery software, it also has a photo recovery addon. It can repair the boot sector and maybe get all you data back on the error drive.

When you download it, there are 3 folders, you want to open the folder that says "win", the exe files are located there. No installation require, just double click on the exe files.

The program is also available in a linux livecd.
