i never saved my eeprom and i just backed up what was in my E drive at the time. i can't get into my dashboard at all it freezes at the microsoft screen but i can read games and play them. if there is any other way to make a backup disc and put it in the xbox and let it read byu itself that would be great. thanks.

Softmod?? if so you probably have your eeprom among the backup/dashboard folder files. If it's reading burns then find a good softmod installer disk, sid4 I think everybody uses now and follow one of chunks's guides..

You have just cleared everything off E: not deleted the partition? whatever.. the file manager on sid will show you what the score is.

If it's a chip job just grab any dash installer disk and start again.

XBMC crapped out on me over the weekend, and that was running as an application.. corrupted all my apps and films. Renamed the entire F: partition with illegal characters... I don't like it as a main dash.. I think it's still way too unstable.
