ok i just got a new DVD RW drive right how do i put it in my computer??? i have a dell and im not sure if this is the right thread , please assist me into where i must put this drive into my computer yes i am new and only 16 years of age thank you
Unscrew your PC case and look for a drive slot either above or below your existing drive. Connect an 80-wire IDE cable to the MB and to the drive and connect up the power cable, turn on PC to ensure it can find and install the drive alright. If it does, put case back on. Good luck, Pete
