okay, i have no idea what i need to do. the bottom line is, i want a mod chip that will allow me to watch DVD's without the kit, and able to put SNES and NES emulators on my xbox. can someone please tell me everything i need to do?

You can also get the xapter solderless adapter if you do not want to solder your chip in. Go to http://www.mod-chip.com as they have everything you need there. If you are decent at soldering and want a good chip that does not cost a lot of money, go for the duoX 2 chip. The blue version of this chip comes preflashed so you don't have to worry about that.
