HELP - I think i have my first computer virus

i dwloaded a file from shareza - which i finally deleted but it would open a load other files in that folder(like game/programs/software patches,cheats,crack - it was meant to be solsuite of something like that) etc things files all where the same size and they where unable to be opened?? i could delete them but on restartin the pc they would all come back - the only file i could not delete was solsuit filethat i originally dwloaded - it was unaccessable,in use?

ok now i cant seem to open my icons without having to show where the exec' file is - i cant access some control panel options i get a error windows/system32/rundll32.exe - application not found ??

any advice-help

so when i want to open a msn messenger-agame etc i get a window that pops up asking open with - and then i find the exe.file to then open that program/game - and inthat program there is a always use the selected program to open this kind of file - which is alwaysunaccessable

i have got trend micro security but install after this problem occurred - i did scan hd and it didnt find any viruses?? i still am having alot of the above problems still - So do i have a virus?

i can however click on my computer - internet explorer and surf net without a prob - its just everything else i try and open either states rundll32 program not found - even though it is in the windows direct - or it has to be opened with me finding the original links each time i want to use a program eg counter strike - msn - control panel icons? normally state error rundll32??????

 

i cant get into any program/control panel to get to do a system restore ? wheni try to open i get the error windows/system32/rundll32.exe - application not found ??

and unable to open?

 

Maybe some virus has deleted that file? That's just a guess.

just got back from holidays and switch on pc with same prob - i went to some web site and found some info about exe. files not working and some info on doing something in my registry - once i done that it all seem to work, got my exe files working and network all running and thats from travelling from 4am back home at 9:30 becaue the temperture that day was 42 degrees - god knows how i even managed to do it - but at least its working - yah

(for whatever reason i couldn't do a restore because it wouldn't open the exe file to do this) thanks for all the replys and help
