help im losing my mind

ok i know yall get alot of these ?'s. But im a newbie, so here it goes. Ive downloaded from WinMx. I saved my movies on a standard cdrw/cdr disc. I bought Mysonic dvd and put it in. now i need to convert it to play in my home dvd player i dont know nothing about ripping or encoding so could someone pleeese help me and tell me step by step what i need to do

 

Im betting the files you downloaded were avis. If thats the case, then your options are to either buy a dvd player that supports mpeg-4(avi) playback, or re-enocde the file to a format your dvd player can play. Youll probably choose the latter, so here are a couple of guides you could take a look at:

thanks for the info, now im still trying to do it the right way, its my first time so wish me luck, because ive been tryingeverything. so your saying i just have to put the cd in and re-encode using tmpeg?

 

You could do it that way, but itll take a longer time. Its better if you copy the avi to your computer and then re-encode with TMGEnc.
