im trying to put a backup copy of my xbox game onto my xbox hardrive. i dont have dvd2xbox or anything similar. so i used a iso ripper to get the iso file onto my pc. i dont have a dvd burner so i used a program to extract the iso into RARs and a bunch of other files call .r31, .r32, .r33 and so on hoping that i could burn 3 or 4 data CDRs to fit all of the data of the game. however..im not sure what to do with all the files once theyre on the CDs. i just need to kno how to use XBMC to copy and paste the files into F:/Games. i dont kno which files i need to put where and ive never heard of those .r33 files or whatever they are and theres also an SFV file. do i make separate folderes or what?? im so confused!!

Your quite confused aren't you? I highly doubt that your trying to "backup a copy" of an xbox game you own.If that is the case, you simply FTP to your xbox dvdrom drive(D) and transfer the contents of the disc to your computer with FlashFXP or something similar.Create a folder in F:/Games and name it whatever you like(F:/Games/Halo2) and transfer the game contents into this folder from your pc.
This is [bold]wrong[/bold] an iso is only needed if you burn to disc ,games ran off the hdd aren't in iso form, Qwix will extract an iso as it transfers the game contents to your xbox hdd.
If you downloaded an xbox iso off the internet or through some p2p software, you simply burn it to disc as an iso.if it's compressed with winrar, you double click on the 1st part(.r01)and extract it. it usually automatically extracts the entire archive (.r02,.r03, etc.)
You need an ftp program to transfer the files from your pc to the xbox hdd.

I can kinda see this happening here soon is that when he extracts it, it's gonna be in a .iso format, or i should say xiso format. you need to get a xiso extractor so you can get the files out, go to www.xbox-scene.com under tools, then xiso extractors (this is only if it comes out to a format of "Backupedupgamecough.iso" lol.

I just wrote my response too fast. My apologies to you "popintags" my wording is a little misleading after I've re-read it. But I can and will make mistakes again "typos and all others". Thanks for correcting it.

What I was trying to say was it can create iso's and transfer files to your box. I don't know what happen there. It's a common response, I just wrote too fast I guess.
