Is there anything special I need to do to install an SATA HDD beyond plugging it in and turning SATA on in the BIOS? It didn't appear to have any jumpers to label it a slave or switch. The SATA is also combined with the RAID selection in the BIOS menu. I'm running my primary on reg IDE if that has anything to do with it.

Thanks for any suggestion syou can give.

Apperantly I need a driver for the SATA. I kinda figured that be part of the BIOS. I'll go off to DFI, find and XP compatable driver and dump it in the drivers folder. See if that works.

boot up your pc with the drive plugged in then in windows, right click my computer go and go to manage, go to disk management on the left hand side, see if your drive shows up in there and let us know

No, it doesn't show up there or in the device manager. During the initial setup the bios only recognizes the primary drive as well.
