I lost access to my floppy (A) drive. I'm receiving the following message when I try to access it from most recent files. It does not appear at all in my list of drives.

The drive or network connection that the shortcut 3 1/2 floppy (A).LNK' refers to is unavailable. Make sure that the disk is properly inserted or the network is available and try again.

I have rebooted several times but still can't access the A:Drive. Help anyone Please! What could have caused this and what do I need to do to restore my A:Drive.

Any help or assistance would be greatly appreciated!!

This sounds like your floppy is dead. But don't worry you can buy a new one for few bucks.

    Hi,

Open your PC and have a look to see if it is still connected to the power, as this is sometimes pretty loose (well thats what happened to mine).

Also if you leave the floppy in the drive during bootup does it ask you to remove the disk?

Do the lights still work on the floppy drive?
