I have a few movies in CDs. They play with RealPlayer. I would like to back these up into DVDs so that they can be watched on DVD player. I have backed up some of my movies from DVD to DVD and am familiar with that process. I have an internal DVD burner which burns only DVD+Rs. I also have an external NEC DL DVD burner which can burn all types of media. Can someone give me a quick How-To on converting CDs into DVDs?
If the files are .rm or .rmvb or you do anything where Real Player is involved, I'd get rid of it and download Real Alternative: http://www.free-codecs.com/download/Real_Alternative.htm Also it would be helpful to put the files through AviCodec or GSpot and post the info so people know what they're advising you about.
rotary, I did extract files and test files. It said it was successful. What do I do next? Thanks for your help.
I downloaded G-Spot and this is what it says #1 rmvb files. #2 .AVI #3 folders named CDI EXT MPEGAV SEGMENT VCD #4 a lot of RM files each one representing movie clips
I downloaded G-Spot and this is what it says #1 rmvb files. not used these but i think they are real media player files? #2 .AVI this you can use divxtodvd to get vob/ifo/bup for burning to dvdr #3 folders named CDI EXT ***MPEGAV*** SEGMENT VCD you need to extract the mpegs from the mpegav folder then load all 3 at once to divxtodvd to make 1 film #4 a lot of RM files each one representing movie clips again not sure prolly real medai again? ------------------------ but over all look lesser quality files and to make to dvd will loose alot of quailty!
Some were par and some were rar. quickpar repaired some. I seen some mention of Gspot?...will that help, running out of time on trial for VSO! Please help.
