OK, I have a bunch of .avi files (Audio: bitrate=107kbps Mpeg Layer 3....Video:Framerate=23fps, Data rate=188 kbps)

I want to put these files onto dvd's.

I've converted avi to dvd with dvd santa, no troubles, but needed to know how many of these 700MB avi files I can safety convert without loss of quality.

I have also heard that the best way is to convert avi to mpeg with tmpgenc, then use Nero to convert the mpeg to dvd.

Any ideas on those 2 questions?

    Hi there,

    VSO DivxToDVD v1.99 Pre-Release will:

    - Convert all your internet movies (.AVI / .MPG etc..) to DVD Format

    - Add subtitles (using .srt files / More formats to come in future releases)

    - Add chapters to each files

    - Create a menu (Menu entry for each file, based on the filename, for now)

    - Burn your DVD creation to media, with it's own built in burn engine

With DivxToDVD, I usually fit 2 x 700 Mb files to 1 DVD5 Media without the need to COMPRESS/Shrink !

Stay tune, very soon VSO will release a new version with a 100% totaly re-written conversion engine, and quality has been raised...
