Alright, my miniSD card just arrived today: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820183160 It came with the adapter to make it an SD card, so I popped it into the card reader built into my laptop. "Would you like to format the card?" blah blah.. Yes, I'm formatting it for use with an M3 Perfect miniSD, so I choose FAT32, and bam! "Windows was unable to complete the format." No matter what settings I choose, it won't format. I'm going to try tomorrow using my girlfriend's laptop and on a USB card reader she has. I hope this works out, because my M3 should arrive soon! Thanks for taking your time to read this! -chzxmnky
Have you tried coying files to the card without formatting it? If it won't let you do that make sure theres no write protection on the card - check to see if there's a switch on the card. If it still dosn't work, could be a dud card.
I have the same adapter for my RiDATA 1GB, and I can say from experience that if you don't push it into the reader just right that the lock will slide back and become enabled. Disable the physical write protection lock on the side of the adapter and just be careful putting it into the reader and you should be fine.
So, no matter what card reader I use, the card is dead. Yes, I've tried the write-protect switch, and it's just dead. I'm RMA-ing it back to newegg, and that sucks because I'll have another week before I get to enjoy M3 good-ness. I just got home from the movies, and my package containing my M3 miniSD and Passcard 3 arrived. Sweet irony!
