I'm taking videos off of old VHS tapes and putting them onto DVD's. I've had problems though, I can't get one 2 hour tape on just one DVD-R. How could I make all the files from the video go on one DVD-R? I use WinDV to capture with my Canopus ADVC-110.

I put them through TMPEGnc and it came out as a .MPG.

What would I need to use to convert them to a DVD format?

    film machine
    avi2dvd

all apps free and do most of the work for you!

for mpeg2 dvd compliant use tmpgenc dvd author
