Hey, i have no more usage of Any DVD or Clone DVD, i try to uninstall and install over and over again, but nothing works with those two, so for the past few weeks i have been working with DVD Shrink, it has been working great, until today. When i load DVD's into my disc tray, no reading pops up that asks me if i wat to watch it, burn it, etc. Now when i try to copy it with DVD Shrink, when i click open disc, nothing happens, it says no disc has been loaded, and now i'm stuck. if someone can help me with the massive problems that i have got, your help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.
just one theory I've been working on did you install uninstall the interactual player on any recent movies don't install it. there is another thread here on this topic so I 'm off to search! also if you have dvd decrypter you can go through the settings menu under device and check the box next auto insert notification
Is this the screen you mean that is not coming up. If so then put a disk in your drive, open my computer and right click on the drive and then choose properties and on the next screen make sure you have the box prompt me each time to choose an action checked.
thnx arnie bear I was just looking for this on p.c. turn my back and you steal my threadlol I think the interactual is changing the default on this. through some maybe not so unintentional scripting!! but I'm off!
I agree on Interactual Player screwing things up, never install this. Should have a big sticky on this no, no.
i have done all of the following, interactual player, i am not sure if i have, how do i find it if i don't know if i have it, i also did the first thing u asked me to do which was check the prompt me box, but the box is still not showing up, do u have any other suggestions, thank you.
Do you have InCD installed along with Nero? This little puppy caused me a lot of grief until I got rid of it.
no i did not have that installed, but if u know of a system that can help me with my dilemma, i would appreiate it. thank you.
so, you don't have windows XP installed? what operating system are you running? what are your specs? *thinks the problem over*
well guys everything i have tried does not work, i don't know what's wrong with it, is there any program or any other advice you guys can give me, if u have any other suggestions it would be very helpful, thanks.
it says there isn't a disc in the drive even though i do have a DVD in the drive, that is what i need fixed.
As Auslander states need more info on your computer specs. Also, can your drive read CD's can it burn those, have you tried uninstalling it in the device mgr. and then boot up and let windows redetect it? Are you running Win 98, Me what OS?
If you are running XP, then try the system restore to the point before you had difficulties. As asked before what are your computer specs. What kind of CPU, Ram, HD space, Burner model/firmware, etc.
@Chris88 This may sound stupid, but try ejecting the media and reloading it again. Your same problem happens to me on one of my drives sometimes. I put a backup of a movie in, and nothing recoginzes the disk. Pop it out, and back in again, and every programs sees it this time. I also swap the offending movie to another drive, if you have this option, sometimes the other drive works better at seeing the disc. Sometimes the burned disk is on crappy media, and the computer will not see the disc anymore. If this doesn't work then like Auslander said what were you trying to back up? Was this problem noted with a backup, or any DVD you put in drive. System specs would help solve this problem much quicker.. You may have a firmware issue going on, but without system specs, we are all just guessing here.
well, as some of u might know, i'm not that smart with computers, so if i asked how do i get my specs and post them so u can help me, can someone please tell me how i find this stuff out, i sound really stupid, but like i said i'm not that smart with computer specs and stuff like that, thanks.
Chris88, This is perhaps a long shot, but go to "Device Manager", and select DVD/CD drives, then double click on the DVD drive that is in question (if it even shows up), and see if the OS says it is "working properly". To get to Device Manager: 1.Right click on MY Computer 2.Select Manage 3.Select Device Manager 4.follow the above inst. HTH, Rich
