    hi guys,
I rarely download movies , but my gf was driving me mad to get a certain one. I have downloaded both the files which i beleive the files are divx format. I printed off the VIRTUAL DUB joining avi files guide.
However when i goto open part 1 it says unable to locate a decompresser. In the guide it recommends that i download FFDshow , i did that but now what am i supposed to do?. How do i use FFDshow so that virtual dub recognizes my avi files?.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Or better still is there a simpler way of joining my 2 avi files , and making them into a dvd file that will play on my standalone?

hope i make sense and thanks

What the Message Means is that you do not have the correct codec installed to decode the Files...If you Install FFDShow you will have the Correct Codec installed...so you Just install it and then V-Dub should be able to read the File.....

Why are you useing IFO edit?? Wouldn"t it just be easier to Load the Mpeg-2 file into a DVD authoring Program Like DVDLab to add your menu"s and Chapters and to burn the DVD?? There are a Number of DVD authoring Programs that are free to use to 30 days Like DVDLab and Tmpgenc DVD author.......
