So I have had this mobo for 4 months and it's been working fine, but all of a sudden it won't work. It won't even load anymore and BIOS beeps 9 times I think and I looked up the beep code and it says that I have to get my mobo repaired. The thing is, I don't know where the warrantee is (I can't remember where I put the box). I'm pretty sure that without the warrantee I won't be able to get them to repair my mobo. So now I can't back up my data! Should I still contact the company and see if they can fix it without the warrantee or am I just doomed. Also, for my new mobo, if I use a different harddrive (my old 20gb) just for the OS then do I need to format my harddrive that has all my stuff on it or am I safe?

you should be all right & if the new motherboard uses a different chipset than the old 1 than possibility can do a repair. but worry about motherboard 1st. also can slave other drive to your posting computer unless not your computer!
