The desktop of my laptop has been hijacked by a website that acts like a wall paper. The original desktop is shown like a line on the the top of the screen. I have tried Ad-Aware SE Professional, Spybot, Adware Away, and online virus scan, but that fake desktop/wallpaper is still there. Below is the log from hijackthis. Set your computer back to an earlier day when it did not occur. 1.go to start 2. click run and type restore 3.double click on rstrui then it will let you set your date back Hope this helps
Hi DopeFreak, Thanks for your reply. I have removed the website from the desktop by customizing the desktop (through control panel) and removed the hijacking file from C:\windows manually. I don't know if this method realy cleaned up my computer from that particular hijacking file. Further advice would be appreciated. Thanks Prast
