If this isn't the right forum, could someone direct me to the right one? Here's the issue: I'm getting an error code 05 on my XBOX. It doesn't make any sense. I was using my Box, I turned it off, when I turned it back on, I got the error code 05. I don't see how all of a sudden, my hard drive was locked. I've tried just about everything I can think of. I tried booting up with a Slayer's Evo-X boot CD, but it doesn't read. I've used the CD before for the record. It just goes straight to the error code. I opened up my Box, and tried messing with the chip a little bit. The chip is lit up, no problems there. So, why am I getting an error code 05 here? Can anyone help out with this?
what bios do you have on the chip??does the chip have an external switch and is it set to on....the new bios's should boot the disc even if it has an error 5, i would go out and d/l AID 3.0 and use config magic to lock the HD Back....oh and what kind of chip is it?
