Well I've had my xbox chipped with DuoX2 for awhile now. I didn't play with it for awhile and a few nights ago i turn it on to play NFS Carbon When I turn it on with power on button - i get the usual Xmas lights (reboot three times then FRAG). No video, No audio. On the DuoX2 chip, i get flashing red lights. When I turn it on with the Eject button - it turns on fine with video and audio but goes into Error 16. I get nothing on the chip. I'm guessing that when I turn it on with the eject button, it deactivates the chip for live purposes and since I don't have the default dashboard, and since I have left it for more than 5 hours without power, it's coming up with error 16 So anywho, anyone got a suggestion? I've looked around everywhere. XD I also tried the hot swap method but xplorer360 didn't recognise hdd, even though the computer itself did. Also, I read somewhere that if you try get the error 12 from unplugging the DVD drive, the HDD will unlock by default? nope didn't work for me. I doubt that it's a faulty installation as it was working fine for quite awhile.
It's been a week and still no response. Am i doing something wrong? starting to doubt the skills of afterdawn...
sounds like your hdd is bad or your dashboard is either corrupted or deleted. i can u a new xbox hdd if you want. pm me.
the power on by eject button is how you disable a DuoX2 chip or boot bios bank 1, power on with the power button is bios bank 0 which appears is corrupted in your setup and will need reflashed. FWIW bumping your thread doesn't get you any attention, it simply looks like you've asked and it's been answered so it's all to often passed over. kc
