I am having a problem when I burn a DVD. On one standalone player it won't play my DVD, it will ask me to initialize, on my other player it plays, albeit with a bit of sync problem. When I looked at the file that I was burning I noticed the ones that did not play were named: Title.HDTV.XviD.avi. I have a hunch that the problem may be that they are Xvid but my confusion is the extension is .avi. Am I totally off on my hunch. I am trying to find the DVD manual to see if it will play Xvid files.

Not all standalone players will playback avi/divx. You best bet would be to convert the movie with DVD Flick to a DVD compliant format that all standalone units will recognize.
