Checklist: -You should have the same IP in Flash that you do on your xbox -You user name/password are correct (usually xbox/xbox) -DHCP is disabled on your xbox Just make sure your settings match from your xbox and Flash. I just simply connect using a crossover cable. If you still can't get it to work you can try opening your Local Area Connection and clicking properties and then opening properties in "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)" and then clicking "Alternate Configuration" and setting you IP to 192.168.0.3 (something different then your xbox) and subnet mask 255.255.255.0 Sometimes you just gotta keep fooling around with your settings and you'll evenutually get it, that is as long as you remember your original settings so you don't make things worse. Good luck! BE SURE TO BACK UP YOUR EEPROM ONCE YOU SUCCESSFULLY CONNECT. THIS WILL SAVE YOU FROM JUST ABOUT ANY MESS YOU GET INTO.
thx dude gonna try if it doesnt workthen i give up lol ..............more advice from whoever is faniliar with this prob wud b appreciated if not ill give up lol thx anyway causels top dudew for the info thx m8
CauseLs is right on with all those settings, only thing I can think of that he missed would be your pc's internal firewall (XP or zonealarm etc). you need to open up this to allow the FTP application to make the connection, easy way to tell is go to network connections > look at the connections > they will probably say connected, firewalled etc > if they do right click one like LAN > select properties > select the advanced Tab > select Windows firewall button> make changes or turn it off. If you turn it off only do it temporarily to see if this is the problem, if it is then turn it back on, find out which ports your connecting to the xbox on and open them up for that application (ftp program) and it should solve the problem. Unfortunately, if his FlashFXP is not working, he will most likely not be able to use Internet Explorer either. Plus you can do so much more using a FTP client rather than IE.
Just make sure that your computer and Xbox are both plugged up to the same router. Make sure you know your Xbox's IP address. Then open up FlashFXP and click the lightning bolt. Click quick connect. Under server or url type your Xbox's IP address. Make sure port says 21. Then under username and password type xbox. Then hit connect and your done.
