I need need. I have Win2000 machine. After installing Nero and InCD, I am now unable to use any of the drives below: A: Floppy D: CD-RW E: DVD Drive with error: "Disk in Drive is not formatted. Do you want to format now" I have tried, uninstalling both InCD and Nero, even tried removing registry data for CD/DVD, rebooted several times, windows detects drives and installs the standard drivers......etc......2 days later, am still getting this message and unable for any drives to read any kind of CDs, floppy, DVDs due to error message above. One website reckons its because some components of packet writing software is still running on my machine but I cannot find them?? Can anyone help? Would be great to get all these devises up and running again but I have no idea how as I have treid all the recommendations so far. Any ideas?
indeed, InCD is Nero's horrid 'packet writing software', uninstall Nero then uninstall completely via Nero's Clean Tools, then reinstall Nero WITHOUT installing InCD
Star advise - Nero's Clean Tools worked like a dream for removing InCD. Thanks! All drvies back up and running. I cannot believe it! Fantastic.
no worries, that was just from a proverbial copy/paste i use for solving Nero logs, glad it helped.. happy burning
That would have been the first thing that I would have suggested It seems great when things just work doesn't it
