help needed transfering files

    hi, not sure which room i should be in with this question so if i am in the wrong place please help me and point me in the right direction
    right the problem i have is i bought the daughter a eeepc netbook for christmas, the problem is it dosent have a drive so i need to transfer a software program onto her laptop from my pc (which i also have on disc) so that she can do her college work
    i have purchased a usb to usb lead to be able to conect both my pc and her laptop but i am stuck after that
    any help would be great

    copy the program onto an usb flashdrive or use an external rcd/dvd rom drive. the flashdrive is what i did lastnight for a customer who's laptop wouldn't read cd mini disks but reads regular size with no problem.

    daughter does has a usb pen but its full with her college work so will have to buy another one if thats the only way to do it

    make a folder on your pc for her stuff on the flashdrive then cut & paste that info off the flashdrive into the folder & flashdrive is empty to take that program.

    just an update and a special thanks to those who helped
    i have now purchased a new usb pen with 16gb storage, which has enabled me to transfer what i needed to transfer onto my daughters lappy
    i am happy and daughter happy
    so thanks again
