    Hi All,

I hope someone can help with my problem. I have a bin file that is 808mg and when I try to burn it to CD [Using Nero] it comes up with an error message saying the file is too big to fit on an 800mg disk. Does anyone know how I can shrink it to fit? or any way of getting onto a cd? You have probably gathered I am a bit thick when it comes to all this!!

    Regards

Depending what type of image it is, you may be able to use Isobuster to extract the data from the image to your hard disc.

When you try to burn it in nero, are you selecting Burn Image from the Recorder menu? That's the best way IMHO; often the image size is bigger than the disc but still burns on.

    Hope it helped

    Hi there,

If it's just to install the software or read stuff from the image, you can always install Daemon Tools v3.47

It will create you a virtual CDROM Drive, then you can just mount that image, and your OS will thing that you added a CD in that virtual drive.

You can also try using Ultra Iso and convert your .bin image to another format .nrg(nero), .iso, .mdf,.mds(Alcohol)

Sometimes converting will allow your file to be burnt.

808 Mb isn't too far off for a little overburn, Nero should be able to do this. Check you recording options in Nero and check enable overburn.
