Connect a network cable from to your dreambox 500c or if your not into that sort of thing ask your mates.

    Google bigmaq.co.uk, download toolbar, install.

    download filezilla.

ftp into dreambox , username: root password: dreambox

copy over the fixes located on the toolbar to var/keys. overwrite, activate evocamd, no more codes!! :)

    configure your network,
if you have a dsl/broadband/router/modem dhcp should be activated: simply plug the network cable into dreambox & router/modem,

if you have just a pc/laptop to dreambox, you must configure your network on pc/laptop and draembox:

On dreambox open menu, press 6, expert setup, communications setup, untick dhcp, put in 192.168.1.10, 255.255.255.0

On pc, vista: control panel, network connections, right click on connection, properties, ip tcpip v4, 192.168.1.5,

    NO MORE TIMEOUTS!!!

You have to configure the network settings at dreambox and pc and you have to use the right network cable.

he wanted to call out and help you. lol.

Do you have a router for broadband? If YES, just use the supplied network cableand plug it into your dreambox to router, Next use pc to ftp the fixes, first configure your dreambox to an ip address thats the same as your network ettings,e.g. 192.168.1.1 (Router),192.168.1.2(dreambox), 192.168.1.3 (PC/Laptop).

When your network is properly setup it should ftp into your dreambox
