my card i am having trouble with is.... r4i gold upgrade revolution v1.4 (which has a picture of mario on the yellow box) i have tryed everything , the web url on the box doesnt work www.r4igold.cn so i cant get the firmware of there , so i have downloaded quite a few others all r4i gold v1.4 english. when i turn the dsi on i get the star wars thing on start , so i click on it and all i get is a white screen nothing else. am i doing something wrong i have formatted the sd and loaded all firmware icons onto it. any help would be appreciated as my daughter keep askin me lol
Unfortunately R4 cards are a problem and no longer recomended. It is the firmware that is wrong (the star wars icon is just to fool the Dsi into seeing a genuine rom. The site in my signature host all the firmwares, start with the likely suspects (there are over 40 to choose from)format the SD before trying each firmware. Put no roms on - just the firmware - till you get past the white screen or "loading" - then try a rom, if it fails to start the rom it may still be the wrong firmware. As a test rom use something old - known working
