    hi..

ASPI being a corrupt could be a problem, however ASPI looks fine to me from the logfile. here's what i found....

    - EDIT OUT your serial number

    - burner's firmware is up to date

    - DMA needs to be ON, fix via this - http://home.comcast.net/~bbmayo/FAQ.htm

    - try to close down more programs prior to dvd work/burning to free up more memory

    - hmmm these discs don't sound very brand name to me...did some more searching as my crap media sensor was ringing. found one - http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/205764

    - see previous comment.

    - InCD is Nero's horrid 'packet writing software', uninstall Nero then uninstall completely via Nero's Clean Tools, then reinstall Nero WITHOUT installing InCD

let's have latest section of log then to see if there's anything left to tweak....and i presume you're using some decent media now too...

It seems to be working now but 3 out of 5 disks fail and we all know that that aint good that is quite alot of wasted disks if you work it out i have also changed my media to ritek 05 the read buffer at the bottom of nero it keeps jumping up and down from 1/10 10/93 etc dont know if that means something.
    this is my last log

you're still having trouble as you haven't followed all the previous suggestions, ie free memory, crap quality media and removing InCD...

...you need to do those things and post back...

Also, i don't know if it will help, but Nero 6x is now up to 6.6.0.18 . Listen to creaky, he knows what he is doing, even in his sleep. :)

I have been haveing probs with my computer as well but i did do everything you sugested i eaven went out and paid £20 for ritek disks because i know they are probably the best on the market at the moment.
Incd is no longer in the computer i downloaded the nero clean tools from the nero website as for the dma i followed the instructions from the site you recomended and restarted my comuter the pioneer 109 i am useing is an external via usb 2.0 do you think it makes a difference useing an internal rather than external? and i ended apps in my taskbar and eaven brought up task manager to end processes to free up memory
i will do another burn if it fails i will post that log as well.

    - still need to keep an eye on that free memory. make sure to close down as much as you can while burning, and no multitasking during the burn either...(just in case you do)...

    - that's bad media

    - see previous comment

ps you could try mounting the pioneer drive internally to try to rule out the enclosure it's in..(assuming it comes out of the enclosure - unless it's a proper external one). 2 of my burners are now in USB2 enclosures, no probs for me but there are are certain chipsets in enclosures that give burning trouble. However those media are classed as awful so it could still be the disks
