Hi I am new to this forum and would like some advice on what is going wrong with my burning in nero 7 . Recently I have been getting invalid block address errors, read and write errors. I have enclosed one of the logs below. Last week i bought a new burner and I burnt 5 traxdata double layer discs fine with no errors but since then I have installed and uninstalled a few programs for creating dvd's. I am wondering if this is the problem here , I have now uninstalled completely Nero 7 from my system and waiting to hear what suggestions next.I have also disabled recording on the windows properties as I read this should be disabled. Please help as this is driving me crazy its a new drive and fresh install of windows. Latest version of firmware is YSOV You can get it here: http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_result.php?kaj=1&isces I think this will correct the medium error.
Update your firmware (If possible), And get some better media, (verbatim, Taiyo yuden ect..) I had the same problems using memorex before. Good luck
Thanks Guys do you think this firmware will sort out the problem here ?? I did downlaod it but yet to install it as got programs running.
THANKS GUYS !!!! IT SEEMS TO HAVE WORKED, GOT THE FIRMWARE FOR BOTH DVD ROM AND WRITER , THEN UNINSTALLED NERO, REINSTALL IT - MADE SURE I REBOOTED AFTER EACH FIRWARE UPGRADE AND INSTALLED ON A FRESH BOOT AND IT RECOGNISED BOTH DRIVES, JUST BURNED A DISC OF FOLDERS AND IT PLAYS ON BOTH DRIVES. PHEW WHAT A PALAVA !! SOULKISS
- if you have any more problems, remove InCD. (InCD is Nero's horrid 'packet writing software', uninstall Nero then uninstall completely via Nero's Clean Tools, then reinstall Nero WITHOUT installing InCD)
Hi - yes I reinstalled Nero and didn't install incd and it is so far creating perfect discs and burn 3 dual layers without problems.
